We are thrilled to announce the newest addition to the Practicing Excellence team, Bob Dent, DNP, RN, FAAN, who joins us as a Senior Advisor to the Nursing Experience Project. Bob brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise, making him an invaluable asset to our mission of empowering nurses to deliver exceptional patient-centered care.
With over three decades of outstanding experience in nursing, including executive roles at renowned institutions such as Emory Healthcare, Bob has been at the forefront of pragmatic improvements in nursing culture, leadership, and education. His commitment to the nursing profession has earned him industry recognition and established him as a leading figure in the field.
As a Senior Advisor to the Nursing Experience Project (NEP), Bob will collaborate closely with our existing Senior Advisor, Marla Weston, PhD, RN, FAAN. Their combined expertise will further strengthen our vision of coaching and developing the entire care team to be their best, most content, and most purposeful selves.
Bob’s deep involvement in the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL), including his time as AONL’s former president, along with his published work on culture, leadership, and well-being demonstrate his dedication to improving conditions for nurses. He continues to serve as Chief Nursing Officer for two Atlanta hospitals, allowing him to bring real-world insights and practical strategies to the NEP.
With Bob’s addition to our team, Practicing Excellence is poised to drive innovation and make a tangible difference in the day-to-day lives of today’s nursing workforce. Together, we will empower nurses, leaders, and teams to love their professional lives and deliver exceptional, patient-centered care.
